Primitive Pennsylvania Sheraton Rope bed ca 1830 an exquisite original Sheraton Rope bed in great condition. Tall high turned thick posts with mushroom tops and thick tapered legs. Fancy Chester County Scroll Headboard panel and footboard. It has unique fitting for assembly which do not require the typical longs bolts normally seen with these old beds. Quick easy assembly created a very heavy duty sturdy bed. It dates to the early 1900's. All hand crafted with chamfered headboard and hand turnings throughout. Original finish on the wood. Either maple or cherry wood or perhaps a combination of both.head posts 58.5" high foot posts 43" high outside dimension is 76" long by 56" wide, interior dimension is 48" wide by 70.25" length.
